I currently work in general practice which consists of office based family medicine and geriatric work with regular nursing home visits. I have been a part-owner of Kookora Surgery for over 20 years.
Kookora is a word from the local Wiradjuri language, and means “rain”.
Since graduation I have worked in regional and rural general practice, been a solo practitioner in a remote town, done aeromedical retrieval and transport, and been in charge of my local Emergency Department.
Over those years I have delivered babies, set broken bones, given anaesthetics and resuscitated many people.
This gives me a very broad background of experience to call on when teaching.
